Glasgow Science Centre Scoops Two Titles at Major Tourism Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow Science Centre on being named the Best Visitor Attraction and winner of the Climate Action Award at the West of Scotland Thistle Awards; acknowledges that the industry endorsement was appreciated by staff, who are committed to delivering memorable experiences for visitors, whether families, school pupils, clients or community members; understands that the attraction was also praised for its excellent application and natural strengths in science communications to different audiences, as well as the investments that had been made into the building and the commitment to nature-based solutions in the wetlands nearby, and notes that the 2024 awards saw more than 700 entries submitted by individuals, businesses, events and community organisations in the bid to be recognised for the role that they play in making Scotland a must-visit, must-return destination.
