That the Parliament congratulates Kilmarnock Place-Based Projects of East Ayrshire on being named a finalist in the Improving Scotland’s Places category of the 2024 SURF Awards; understands that the awards seek to recognise regeneration projects of all sizes to demonstrate value to funders and partners, support team-building and develop a national profile, and that they are open to all community regeneration projects in Scotland that are currently in place or that have been completed within two years of the closing date; further understands that the judging panel will be visiting each project in October 2024 for evaluations before announcing the winners in December; commends Kilmarnock Place-Based Projects on what it sees as vital work that helps to improve access to community spaces and bring community spaces back into use either through repair works or transformative renovation, and wishes all participants in the project well.
