That the Parliament congratulates Celebrate Aberdeen on holding its annual third sector street parade in Aberdeen on 31 August 2024, which shines a light on the third sector across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire; acknowledges that Celebrate Aberdeen was formed by a group of friends who were all volunteers and wanted to recognise the tireless work of others, including the third sector, charities and volunteers; understands that the first Celebrate Aberdeen parade took place in 2011 and has grown significantly in support and numbers since then; notes that thousands of people took part in 2024's street parade, representing 130 groups from across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire; recognises that Celebrate Aberdeen also organises an annual awards event, which pays tribute to the positive impact that individuals, organisations and volunteers in the third sector make to thousands of lives across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, and wishes Celebrate Aberdeen every success as it shares its aims of positivity, support, community and celebration.
