That the Parliament congratulates Edinburgh Student Housing Co-op on celebrating its 10th year of operation in September 2024; believes that this democratically-run approach to housing, encourages full participation as active citizens; notes its contribution to the founding of Student Cooperative Homes, a secondary co-operative that supports students across Britain and Ireland in the acquisition and maintenance of properties; celebrates the value of co-operative housing in providing what it considers genuinely affordable accommodation; recognises the Co-Op's effort to keep rent increases to under £90/month from its 2014 rates, and wishes Edinburgh Student Housing Co-op and its alumni well in the future.
