Celebrating the Scottish Poetry Library's 40th Anniversary

That the Parliament celebrates the Scottish Poetry Library’s 40th anniversary; understands that the Scottish Poetry Library has advocated for the art of poetry since 1984; recognises the Scottish Poetry Library’s work to bring the benefits of poetry to as wide an audience as possible, including the creation of free lesson plans for Scots poetry in schools; notes the Scottish Poetry Library's projects, such as Poems for Social Workers, which promotes the use of poetry by social workers to promote wellbeing; further notes the work of the Scottish Poetry Library in supporting the Scots Makar, Scotland’s national poet, and hopes for the continued enjoyment and support of poetry in Scotland.
