That the Parliament congratulates the Tigh Na Mara Hotel and Restaurant after it was named the overall winner of the best hotel and restaurant category at the prestigious Food Awards Scotland 2024 in Glasgow, which were held in August; notes that the owner, Neil Fisher, together with the  Head Chef, Bruce Chalmers, and Executive Chef, Douglas Lisi, were praised for their outstanding selection of freshly prepared dishes using an abundance of fresh, local produce, including Scottish beef and fresh seafood from the west coast; acknowledges that the business, which is based at Sandhead, near Stranraer, has gone from strength to strength and is highly recommended by both locals and visitors alike, and wishes the team continued success in the coming months as it prepares to open a new business, Tig2Go, which will aim to offer top quality restaurant food to take home or eat in its outdoor beer garden.
