That the Parliament welcomes continued recognition for two greenfield sites in Eastwood for the provision of safe, clean and well-maintained areas; understands that both Rouken Glen Park in Giffnock and Whitelee Windfarm in Eaglesham have received the Green Flag Award by Keep Scotland Beautiful for 2024; acknowledges that the core purpose of the Green Flag Award is to offer formal recognition to the best parks and greenspaces, which are found across Scotland and with first-rate management and environmental standards; recognises that Rouken Glen Park has received the award for 14 consecutive years and Whitlee Windfarm for the previous four years, and considers that this demonstrates the consistent standards of excellence at both sites; notes that a total of 80 greenspaces have been awarded the Green Flag status for 2024, and commends the continued recognition of Rouken Glen Park and Whitelee Windfarm as two of the best greenspaces in Scotland.
