That the Parliament congratulates Heriot Primary School in the Foxbar area on being awarded a sportscotland 2024-26 Gold School Sport Award; notes that the gold award is in recognition of the school’s achievement in putting sport at the heart of its decision making, planning, and implementation of extracurricular activities; recognises that the award also encourages schools to self-reflect and continuously improve, recognise and celebrate successful school sport, and encourages sporting links between schools and with the wider community, and wishes Heriot Primary School continued success in promoting and demonstrating its commitment to increase young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership and to provide clear pathways to lifelong participation in sport.
