That the Parliament welcomes the publication of the programme for the 2024 Edinburgh International Film Festival; understands that the festival is returning for the first time since 2022, with 37 new feature films and 18 world premieres shown between 15 and 21 August 2024; notes that the relaunched festival will celebrate over 70 years of festival history, showcasing both local and global talent; recognises what it sees as the importance of a thriving festival scene in driving tourism and employment in creative industries, contributing to the economy, and developing "Brand Scotland", and hopes for the success of the 2024 Edinburgh International Film Festival.
