That the Parliament welcomes the news that Dr Abhishek Agarwal, who has more than 20 years of experience in education and skills development, has been appointed as the chair of Forth Valley College until summer 2028; notes that, most recently, he served as an associate professor in strategy at Edinburgh Napier University, leading the MBA and DBA degree programmes, and that, in this new role, he will work closely with the board and key stakeholders to strengthen current partnerships and forge new collaborations to help shape the strategic direction of the college; acknowledges that, over the last decade, he has cultivated a strong passion for effective governance with his roles encompassing a range of responsibilities and that, in addition to having served as non-executive director of Kirkgate Developments Limited, Dr Agarwal was a board member, and chair, of Grampian Housing Group and a non-executive board member of Healthcare Improvement Scotland; congratulates Dr Agarwal on his new role, and wishes him, and Forth Valley College, all the very best in their future collective endeavours.
