That the Parliament congratulates Hillhead Housing Association (HA) in Kirkintilloch on being awarded £20,000 worth of support through the National Lottery Community Fund to help tenants and residents in the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency, who, it understands, are struggling with the cost of living crisis; understands that Hillhead HA Welfare Rights Service will use the money to provide emergency food and fuel vouchers to tenants of both Hillhead and Caledonia housing associations, as well as residents of the local community who are in need; further understands that at the same time, Hillhead HA Welfare Rights Service will also be able to ensure that tenants and residents are receiving all of the benefits that they are entitled to through help to fill in claim forms, appeal benefit decisions and help with budgeting; recognises that the National Lottery Community Fund distributes money raised by National Lottery players to good causes and that it is the largest community funder in the UK; understands that, in 2023, Hillhead HA provided £50,000 of emergency support to local households, and praises the local housing association for what it sees as its sterling work to help local people who are struggling to make ends meet.
