That the Parliament congratulates 12 schools from the Scottish Borders, including Galashiels Academy, Balmoral Primary School, Burgh Primary School, Clovenfords Primary School, Fountainhall Primary School, Glendinning Terrace Primary School, Heriot Primary School, Langlee Primary School, St Margaret's RC Primary School, St Peter's Primary School, Stow Primary School, and Tweedbank Primary School, on becoming one of the first school clusters in Scotland to achieve Digital Schools Award status by working together; notes that this is a national award to promote, recognise and encourage a whole-school approach to the use of digital technology in nursery, primary, special education, and secondary schools to benefit pupils’ experiences; recognises that Galashiels Academy also received the Digital Wellbeing Award for Cyber Resilience and Internet Safety, and Burgh Primary School Early Learning and Childcare and Tweedbank Primary School Early Learning and Childcare were awarded the Digital Learning through Play Award, which recognises excellence in integrating technologies into children’s play and learning experiences, both indoors and outdoors; believes that this work represents a positive use of digital technology to enhance all areas of learning, and looks forward to seeing how this innovative approach will evolve.
