  • Submitted by: Marie McNair, Clydebank and Milngavie, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 20 June 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-13728

That the Parliament recognises the pupils of Clydemuir Primary School for taking part in Asda Clydebank’s Big Help Out initiative to help address the litter issue in Dalmuir; understands that the initiative is a large-scale event that brings together thousands of organisations dedicated to cleaning up their local communities; further understands that the pupils and staff cleaned up the area around the school grounds and then took a walk through the local community, picking up any litter that they could find as they went; notes that, upon completion of the activity, pupils were awarded with a certificate for their contribution to cleanliness; further notes that more litter picks have been arranged for the future, including over summer 2024, and congratulates everyone who has taken part so far in an effort to make their local community something to be proud of.
