Gold Sportscotland School Sport Award for Lenzie Meadow Primary School

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils and staff of Lenzie Meadow Primary School, in Lenzie, on attaining a gold sportscotland School Sport Award; recognises what it sees as the commitment, hard work and tenacity of teachers in enabling the school to receive this prestigious award by putting sport at the heart of its planning, practice and ethos; notes that three award levels of bronze, silver and gold can be awarded to schools across Scotland; commends what it sees as the valuable work of sportscotland in enabling schools to feel supported through each level to encourage and increase young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership, providing clear pathways to life-long participation in sport; notes that Lenzie Meadow Primary School joins St Ninian’s High School in Kirkintilloch and Torrance Primary School in Torrance as present holders of a gold sportscotland School Sport Award in the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency; understands that schools hold their gold School Sport Award for two years from the date of the award; wishes the pupils and staff of Lenzie Meadow Primary School continued enjoyment and success in their sporting activities, and sends heartfelt gratitude to all those who embrace this vision of improving health and fitness in Scotland’s young people through the sportscotland School Sport Awards.
