North East Sensory Services Charity Launches Lottery

  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 19 June 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-13710

That the Parliament commends North East Sensory Services (NESS), which has launched its own lottery, giving people a chance to win £25,000 at the same time as donating to the charity and supporting thousands of people with serious sensory loss in Aberdeen, Dundee, Angus and Moray; notes that at least half of the proceeds from every ticket sold will go directly to NESS to put towards what it sees as its life-changing work; further notes that those who choose to play will be helping the charity to support more than 6,250 people of all ages with serious sight and/or hearing loss across the north east of Scotland, and wishes the charity every success for the future through its new venture.
