Doreen Graham MBE

That the Parliament congratulates Doreen Graham on being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to animal welfare in His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours List; understands that Doreen is chair of the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, and has a long established career in animal welfare, having worked for the Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) for a significant number of years and having campaigned on numerous issues over that time; further understands that Doreen has also worked with MIND and is currently the chair of Nomad Beat, a charitable music school in Peebles; notes that her focus and love remain all things animals, and that she continues to be a strong voice for animals and has two rescue dogs of her own, Charlie and Ted, and wishes her well.
