John Mackenzie Beveridge Awarded MBE for Services to Paddle Steamer Preservation and to Charity

That the Parliament congratulates John Mackenzie Beveridge, of Helensburgh, on being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in His Majesty The King's Birthday Honours List 2024; acknowledges that John received this honour for his contributions to paddle steamer preservation and to charity; notes that he is a member of the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society's Council of Management, a director of Waverley Steam Navigation (WSN), and the former chairman of the Loch Lomond Steamship Company (LLSC), the company that owns PS Maid of the Loch; wishes John the best of luck with his preservation and restoration projects, and hopes to see the Maid of the Loch return to service.
