University of Glasgow Ranks 12th in the World in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings

That the Parliament commends the University of Glasgow for ranking 12th in the world in The Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024, placing it first in Scotland and third in the UK; celebrates the hard work of the University to support the mission of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); notes that Glasgow ranked particularly highly against SDG 11, sustainable cities and development, and SDG 12, reducing inequalities; understands that the University of Glasgow is working collaboratively at a local, national and international level to tackle some of the most pressing global challenges; believes that the University is a world-changing institution that leverages its first-class research and teaching environment to improve global health and education, reduce inequality, drive economic growth and tackle climate change, and looks forward to maintaining a close relationship with the University of Glasgow as it drives positive and lasting societal change.
