That the Parliament congratulates all members of the Scotland men’s national team on their upcoming appearance at the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship in Germany; acknowledges that over the next two weeks Scotland will play against the host country, Germany, against Switzerland, and against Hungary in the group stage; notes that it is the first time that Scotland will play in the opening match at a European Football Championship; wishes manager Steve Clarke, captain Andy Robertson, the squad, and the backroom staff all the very best for the games ahead; considers that they carry with them the best wishes, and hopes, of everyone in Scotland; thanks them for continuing to lift and inspire the entire nation; congratulates members of the Tartan Army who are travelling to Germany to support Steve Clarke and the squad; notes that the Tartan Army supporters were named as the best supporters during the 1992 European Championship and received an award for their behaviour at the 1998 World Cup in France; commends the Tartan Army supporters for being what it considers to be exceptional ambassadors for Scotland, and wishes them all the very best for a wonderful time in Germany.
