Perth Pickleball Club

  • Submitted by: Liz Smith, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 12 June 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-13599

That the Parliament sends its congratulations to Perth Pickleball Club on the milestone achievement of its 100th member; commends the Club’s three founding members, Wendy Coventry, Ali McGowan and Fiona Clark, who have grown the sport so quickly since its formation in 2022; understands that the sport is hugely popular within the local community, with the club having to work hard to find additional court availability to allow more people to join from the waiting list, and welcomes the addition of this rapidly growing and popular sport to Perth at what it considers to be a challenging time for local sport and sporting facilities in the city and across Scotland as a whole.
