That the Parliament commends the organisers of the Bearsden and Milngavie Highland Games, which is set to take place on 8 June 2024, at the West of Scotland Football Club; notes that the event, now in its 51st year after commencing in 1973, offers a family-friendly day out that attracts visitors from all across Scotland and the world, and is the single largest day out in East Dunbartonshire; understands that the day will feature traditional highland games attractions like pipe bands, heavies, arm wrestling, Scottish dancing, and the World Haggis Hurling Championship; acknowledges the volunteers that work incredibly hard in the lead-up to the games to make sure that the event is successful; wishes success to everyone involved in supporting the games, and appreciates the charitable efforts of visitors who support the Funding Neuro charity, which supports innovative and alternative methods to treat people with neurological conditions.
