Taiwan Presidential Inauguration of Dr Lai Ching-te

That the Parliament notes the inauguration of the 16th-term President Dr Lai Ching-te, and Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim, of the Republic of China (Taiwan) at the presidential inauguration ceremony held in Taipei on 20 May 2024; congratulates President Dr Lai Ching-te and Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim on their inauguration; values what it considers to be the historic ties of culture, academia and trade between Taiwan and Scotland, and looks forward to building on those ties in the future.
