That the Parliament notes, with regret, the sad passing of Steve Cheyne; believes that Mr Cheyne was a much-loved and significant figure in Glasgow’s music scene for many years, having run the famous Berkeley 2 studios since the 1980s; understands that many famous artists, including Beyoncé, Franz Ferdinand and Deacon Blue used the rehearsal spaces that Steve Cheyne created; recognises what it sees as the major contribution that he made to what it considers to be the thriving music industry in Glasgow over many years, and believes that he will be sorely missed by all those he helped and supported in the music industry and all who knew him.
