That the Parliament congratulates the National Robotarium on the occasion of its first anniversary; understands that the National Robotarium is a world-leading centre for robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), situated on Heriot-Watt University's Edinburgh campus, whose pioneering work positions Scotland at the forefront of robotics innovation globally; welcomes what it sees as the National Robotarium's achievements over its first year, which, it understands, include becoming home to 100 people working in robotics, housing four new start-up businesses, having 16 ongoing projects inspired and funded by industry, with five research projects using the facility, holding more than 150 events to promote and communicate the opportunities presented by robotics, and reaching an engagement milestone of 10,000 school pupils from around Scotland, the UK and Europe; thanks all of those whose vision, expertise and dedication made the National Robotarium possible, and looks forward to its continued growth and success as a centre of global excellence for responsible and human-centric emerging technologies in the years ahead.
