That the Parliament congratulates Stephen Brennan, an elder at Dundonald Parish Church in Dundonald, South Ayrshire, who survived a rare form of cancer called adenocarcinoma of the oesophagus and fulfilled a life goal by completing a 10K run in 56 minutes to raise money for Ayrshire Cancer Support; understands that it took Stephen nearly 13 years to build up his fitness levels, following an invasive operation to remove a large tumour from his oesophagus that left his stomach sitting much higher in his chest cavity, and two rounds of chemotherapy; understands that he deeply appreciates the practical help and support provided by cancer charities; recognises his determination to raise much-needed funds for Ayrshire Cancer Support, which, it understands, has reached nearly £1,500 so far; recognises that he is planning his next run, and wishes him all the best for the future.
