That the Parliament believes that more is needed to be done to decarbonise the built environment sector at the scale and pace required to achieve net zero targets, and welcomes the recent report, Levelling the playing field, not Scotland's built environment: a case for retrofit over demolition?, published by the Chartered Institute of Building, which considers the value a demolition levy could bring to the sustainability of the built environment, the economy, and Scotland's construction sector at large.
