That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Indian Arts Forum (SIAF), a registered Scottish charity, on the celebration of its annual flagship event, Dusherra, at the iconic Calton Hill, in Edinburgh; notes that SIAF is devoted to inspiring and empowering ethnic communities through advancing arts and culture as a platform to enhance equality and active citizenship; acknowledges the support given to the Dusherra 2022 event by the City of Edinburgh Council, with the Community Fund and Baillie Gifford among the major funders along with other sponsors who helped to stage the event, including the Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh, Robert Aldridge, the Consul General of India, Bijay Selvaraj, and Culture and Communities Convener Cllr. Val Walker; understands that Dusherra has been celebrated by SIAF as being widely accessible to the public for the past 28 years, and believes that Dusherra is one of the most sought-after events for the ethnic community during the calendar year.
