Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on student finance for nursing and midwifery students, in light of reported concerns by both the Royal College of Nursing and the Royal College of Midwifery in Scotland regarding the viability of these courses.

To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to reports that teachers are spending an average of 11.39 hours a week outside contracted hours on work-related activity, undertaken in the morning before work, into the evening and at home at the weekend.
