Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will bar the 112 companies identified by the UN Human Rights Office as being involved in activities related to illegal Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine from bidding for contracts to provide goods or services to the Scottish Government and the public bodies for which it is responsible.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide (a) an update on how much of the funding allocated to the improvement of ventilation in school buildings has been spent, (b) a breakdown of how this funding was allocated by local authority, including a summary of how each local authority spent its allocation and (c) an update on how the effectiveness of the funded ventilation upgrades will be measured.
