Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on any progress that has been made on its commitment to explore implementation of HPV self-sampling, in light of Cervical Screening Awareness Week and an NHS study, undertaken in Dumfries and Galloway, which has shown the potential benefits of self-sampling.

To ask the First Minister whether he will provide an update on the Scottish Government's commitment to roll out universal free school meals, in light of reported concerns that there will be further delays to the expansion of universal free school meal provision for P6 and P7 pupils, and that no progress has been made on its commitment to establish a secondary school pilot scheme.
