Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of the figures in the Scottish House Condition Survey 2012-2014 showing an increase in fuel poverty and extreme fuel poverty in remote, rural and island areas compared with urban areas, what (a) steps it has taken and (b) plans it has to tackle fuel poverty (i) in Orkney, (ii) in the Highlands and Islands and (iii) across the country.
