Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)

To ask the Scottish Government how many applications for consent have been determined by Marine Scotland since 2010, how many (a) were refused, (b) required environmental impact assessment and (c) required appropriate assessment of their effect on European wildlife sites.

Marine Scotland issues a variety of consents, licences and other permissions relating to a wide range of marine activities.

The following table summarises those issued by Marine Scotland Sea Fisheries, Licensing Operations Team , Science and Aquaculture divisions from 2010 to date.

To ask the Scottish Government for what activities consent is determined by Marine Scotland.

Marine Scotland issues a variety of consents, licences and other permissions relating to a wide range of marine activities including;

Licences under the Conservation (Natural Habitats, &c.) Regulations 1994 and the Offshore Marine Conservation (Natural Habitats, &c.) Regulations 2007 in relation to disturbance of Marine European Protected Species.

To ask the Scottish Government what discussions it has had with NHS Fife regarding the continuation of the Marie Curie Hospice at Home service.

50 per cent of the Marie Curie overnight nursing service over the last year, and this will continue. In addition, over the last year, Marie Curie and the Oak Foundation have fully funded the fast track and managed care services. Discussions are underway between the Health and Social Care Partnership, Marie Curie and NHS Fife which I understand are expected to conclude by the end of this week.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question SW4-29290 by Alex Neil on 21 January 2016, on what dates discussions regarding the non-legislative proposals from the commission have taken place; what the outcome of each meeting was, and whether it will publish the minutes.

Discussions between Scottish Government and Home Office officials regarding the non-legislative proposals made by the Smith Commission on asylum took place on 23 January, 13 March and 2 November 2015. In each meeting, officials discussed the Smith Commission's three proposals on asylum. The meetings on 23 January and 13 March also included discussion of the Smith Commission's proposals on the post-study work visa and human trafficking.

A demonstration of the asylum process at the Home Office in Glasgow took place on 8 April, and a follow-up meeting on asylum accommodation on 27 April 2015.

Officials agreed to respect the confidentiality of the meetings, which concluded with agreement of action points to be taken forward. No formal minutes were taken.
