To ask the Scottish Executive whether it believes that the curriculum for excellence can be satisfactorily delivered in all schools in West Dunbartonshire.
Answer
The values,purposes and principles of Curriculum for Excellence are not dependenton structures. It is for individualauthorities and schools to consider how best to provide an enriched curriculumfor pupils in order to maximise the educational benefits for pupils.

To ask the Scottish Executive who is responsible for enforcing the Scottish Ministerial Code if it is breached by cabinet secretaries or ministers.
Answer
The ScottishMinisterial Code is the First Minister’s document and it sets out the standardsof conduct which he expects of government ministers. The First Minister is the ultimate judge of the standards of behaviourexpected of a minister and the appropriate consequences in the event of abreach of those standards. Ministers will only remain in office for as long asthey retain his confidence.

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish the responses received to the First Minister’s letter to all states party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty with regard to gaining observer status at their meetings.

To ask the Scottish Executive when NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde last advertised for an anaesthetist for the Vale of Leven Hospital.
Answer
GreaterGlasgow and Clyde NHS Board have advised that they last advertised for an Anaesthetist post on 13 November 2007. The advert was in the British Medical Journal andhas a closing date of 14 December 2007.

To ask the Scottish Executive how it will ensure the highest standard of behaviour by ministers in the Parliament.
Answer
The ScottishMinisterial Code is both a code of conduct for Scottish Ministers and also aguide on the procedures and processes which they are expected to observe incarrying out their Ministerial duties, including when in the Parliament. Arevised version of the Code will be published shortly by the First Minister.
In addition, allMSPs, including those who are Ministers, must adhere to the terms of the Codeof Conduct for Members of the Scottish Parliament, and are bound by theInterests of Members of the Scottish Parliament Act 2006, taken together withSection 39 of the Scotland Act 1998.
