To ask the Scottish Government how many of its staff receive a salary of over £100,000 per annum, broken down by department, and what the total cost is of those staff salaries.

As at 28 February 2022 a total of 32 staff earning over £100,000 per annum were employed in Core Scottish Government at a total salary cost of £3,680,537.

To ask the Scottish Government (a) how much funding did each project receive and (b) how many jobs were created by each project as a result of the 2020 round of the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund.

I refer the member to the answer to question S6W-04826 on 13 December 2021. 26 Projects received recommendations of support totalling up to £24,145,384 as result the 2020 round of the fund. To ask the Scottish Government how many projects were funded as a result of the 2020 round of the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund in the (a) Midlothian, (b) East Lothian, (c) Scottish Borders, (d) Dumfries and Galloway, (e) South Ayrshire, (f) East Ayrshire, (g) North Ayrshire and (h) South Lanarkshire Council area, broken down by the (i) name of, (ii) cost of and (iii) number of jobs created by, each project.

I refer the member to the answer to question S6W-04826 on 13 December 2021. 26 Projects received recommendations of support totalling up to £24,145,384 as result the 2020 round of the fund.

No projects from Midlothian, East Lothian, Dumfries and Galloway, East Ayrshire or South Lanarkshire Council were recommended from the 2020 round.

Projects supported in Scottish Borders, South Ayrshire and North Ayrshire Council are detailed in the following table with figures taken from the applications for funding made in 2020. These are ongoing capital projects.

To ask the Scottish Government what ministerial meetings or discussions have been held with East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership about returning suspended services, including inpatient services, to the Edington Hospital in North Berwick.

I have had regular discussions with the Chief Executive, NHS Lothian but have not specifically met with the Chief Officer, East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership to discuss the Edington Hospital in North Berwick.

On 17 January, I met with delegates from East Lothian and listened to their concerns about Edington Hospital and underlined that decisions about local provision are best made locally. The decision when to re-open Edington Hospital is to be made by NHS Lothian and East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership.

However, I expect any decision that is made to take into account the needs of the local population, and ensure an appropriate level of service are in place to meet those needs.

To ask the Scottish Government how many FOI requests were made to each NHS board, and of those how many were not responded to within 20 working days, in each year since 2007.

The Scottish Government does not gather information about the FOI performance of other Scottish public authorities. However, the Member may wish to note that since April 2013 public authorities have submitted FOI handling data to the Scottish Information Commissioner on a quarterly basis: FOI and EIR statistics database (itspublicknowledge.info) .

Individual NHS Boards may hold additional information.
