Good morning, and welcome to the second meeting in 2024 of the Net Zero, Energy and Transport Committee. We have received formal apologies from Monica Lennon, and I am pleased to welcome Sarah Boyack, who is attending the meeting as the Scottish Labour substitute.
Under our first agenda item, I invite Sarah Boyack to declare any relevant interests in relation to the committee and the evidence session.
Thank you, convener. If you look at my entry in the register of members’ interests, you will find that I am a member of a number of organisations, which I have declared. The main declaration to make is that I was the cabinet secretary who introduced the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001. I say that just for peoples’ interest.
That is interesting.
The deputy convener, Ben Macpherson, is on his way, but he is struggling slightly to get here, given the conditions, and might miss the first part of the meeting.
