The Committee agreed to take items 2, 3 and 4 in private and that consideration of proposed changes to the Code of Conduct, its approach to a review of the rules on Cross-Party Groups and to question times should be taken in private at future meetings.
The Committee considered draft Standing Order Rule changes and agreed to continue consideration at a future meeting.
The Committee considered a complaint in relation to the Cross-Party Group on Human Trafficking. The Committee found that a breach of Section 6 of the Code of Conduct had occurred in respect of the failure to submit the minute of the meeting held on 6 September 2022. The Committee agreed to write to the Conveners of the Cross-Party Group on Human Trafficking to remind them of their responsibility to ensure that the Group operates in compliance with the Code. The Committee also agreed to write to the complainant.
The Committee considered a letter from the Finance and Public Administration Committee.
