1. Decisions on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take item 3 in private. The Committee also agreed to consider its work programme and consideration of a draft report on Post-legislative scrutiny of the Child Poverty (Scotland) Act 2017 in private at future meetings.

2. Social Security Scotland:

The Committee took evidence on its performance and operation from—

David Wallace, Chief Executive, Miriam Craven, Chief Operating Officer and Ally MacPhail, Deputy Director of Organisational Strategy and Performance, Social Security Scotland.

Jeremy Balfour declared an interest as a recipient of Adult Disability Payment.
