1. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee deferred consideration of this item to its next meeting—

Charges for Residues Surveillance Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2024 (SSI 2024/218)



2. Follow-up inquiry into salmon farming in Scotland:

The Committee took evidence from—

Mark Harvey, Planning Team Leader, Highland Council;

Ronan O'Hara, Chief Executive, Crown Estate Scotland;

Dr Rachel Shucksmith, Marine Spatial Planning Manager, University of the Highlands and Islands.

 

Edward Mountain declared an interest as a partner in a wild salmon fishery.


3. Welfare of Dogs (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee considered the Bill at Stage 2.

Edward Mountain declared an interest as a farmer and part of a farming partnership and as an honorary member of the British Veterinary Association.

The Committee completed Stage 2 consideration of the Bill.

 


4. Follow-up inquiry into salmon farming in Scotland (In Private):

The Committee agreed to consider the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2 at its next meeting.
