The Committee agreed to take agenda items 4 and 5 in private.

2. The 2022/23 audit of the Scottish Prison Service:

The Committee took evidence from—

Wendy Sinclair-Gieben, HM Chief Inspector of Prisons for Scotland, HM Inspectorate of Prisons for Scotland.

The Committee agreed to invite the Scottish Prison Service and the Scottish Government to give oral evidence at a future meeting.

3. National Strategy for Economic Transformation:

The Committee took evidence from—

Stephen Boyle, Auditor General for Scotland;

Cornilius Chikwama, Audit Director, Kirsty Ridd, Audit Manager and Catherine Young, Senior Manager, Audit Scotland.
