1. Work programme (In Private):

The Committee considered its work programme. A summary of this consideration is set out below.

The 2022/23 audit of the Water Industry Commission for Scotland: The Committee further considered correspondence from the Auditor General for Scotland, the Water Industry Commission for Scotland and the Scottish Government and agreed its future approach to scrutiny of the report.

National Strategy for Economic Transformation: The Committee considered correspondence from the Director-General Economy, Scottish Government and agreed to close its scrutiny of the briefing and in doing so, write to the Economy and Fair Work Committee.

The 2022/23 audit of the Scottish Government Consolidated Accounts: The Committee noted correspondence from the Director-General Economy in relation to the Scottish Government's Strategic Commercial Assets Division.

Investing in Scotland's infrastructure: The Committee considered correspondence in relation to Expiring Private Finance Initiative contracts from the Scottish Futures Trust, the Scottish Government and the Scottish Prison Service and agreed to write to the Scottish Government.

New vessels for the Clyde and Hebrides: Arrangements to deliver vessels 801 and 802: The Committee considered correspondence from the Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Gaelic, the Cabinet Secretary for Transport and the Auditor General for Scotland and agreed to write to the Permanent Secretary to the Scottish Government and the Cabinet Secretary for Transport.

NHS in Scotland 2023: The Committee considered correspondence from the Chief Executive of NHS Scotland and Director-General Health and Social Care, Scottish Government and agreed to close its scrutiny of the report.

Auditor General for Scotland's Work Programme April 2024 - March 2026: The Committee noted correspondence from the Auditor General for Scotland.

The 2022/23 audit of the Scottish Prison Service: The Committee considered the Scottish Government's response to its report and agreed to write to the Scottish Government and the Criminal Justice Committee.

The Committee noted Audit Scotland's third six monthly impact monitoring and evaluation report.
