The Committee took evidence on the Environmental Authorisations (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2025 from—
Gillian Martin, Acting Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero and Energy, supported by Carolyn Boyd, Solicitor, Gary Gray, Senior Policy Advisor and Phil Leeks, Senior Policy Manager, Scottish Government.
In relation to the impact of the Regulations on farming, Edward Mountain declared an interest as a partner in Delfur Farms Farming Partnership in Moray.

In relation to discussions on water abstraction, Edward Mountain declared an interest as a farmer and landowner on Speyside and as joint owner of Delfur Fishings. He also indicated he is a member of the Spey Fishery Board.
The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.
