1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 4, 5 and 6 in private.


2. MV Glen Sannox (Hull 801) and MV Glen Rosa (Hull 802):

The Committee took evidence from—

John Petticrew, Interim Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Miller, Chairman, and David Dishon, Chief Financial Officer, Ferguson Marine (Port Glasgow) Ltd.

Monica Lennon declared an interest as a member of the GMB trade union and a Member of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers Parliamentary Group.


3. Land Reform (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—

Malcolm Combe, Senior Lecturer in Law, University of Strathclyde;

Calum MacLeod, Solicitor.

Edward Mountain declared an interest in a farming partnership in Moray, as set out in the register of interests. Specifically, he declared an interest as owner of approximately 500 acres of farm land, of which 50 acres is woodland. He also declared that he is a tenant of approximately 500 acres in Moray under a non-agricultural tenancy and that he has another farming tenancy for about 20 acres under the Agricultural Holdings (Scotland) Act 1991. He also declared that he sometimes takes on grass lets.


4. MV Glen Sannox (Hull 801) and MV Glen Rosa (Hull 802):

The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.


5. Land Reform (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.


6. Reappointments to the Board of Environmental Standards Scotland:

The Committee considered correspondence from the Scottish Government. The Committee agreed to recommend approval of the reappointments to the Board of Environmental Standards Scotland to the Parliament. The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government and to delegate authority to the Convener to approve the letter.
