1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 3 and 4 in private.

2. Energy Bill (UK Parliament legislation):

The Committee took evidence on Legislative Consent Memorandum LCM-S6-26 from—

Michael Matheson, Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero, Energy and Transport and Ragne Low, Deputy Director, Onshore Electricity Policy and Strategic Coordination, Scottish Government.

3. Energy Bill (UK Parliament legislation) (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.

The Committee agreed to write to the UK government, requesting further information in relation to the UK Energy Bill and the Legislative Consent Memorandum.

4. Work programme (in private):

The Committee considered its work programme.

The Committee agreed—

• to write to the Scottish and UK governments to seek more information regarding the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill (UK Parliament legislation);
• to undertake future scrutiny on clean air and on energy policy and to consider an approach to each of these at a future meeting; and
• to hold a business planning day on an agreed date before the summer recess.
