1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take in private item 5 (consideration of a draft report on A modern and sustainable ferry service for Scotland). The Committee also agreed to consider further drafts in private at future meetings.

The Committee took evidence on the National Smart Ticketing Advisory Board (Gender Representation on Public Boards) (Scotland) Regulations 2023 [draft] from—

Kevin Stewart, Minister for Transport, Scottish Government.

3. Subordinate legislation:

Kevin Stewart (Minister for Transport) moved—S6M-08262—That the Net Zero, Energy and Transport Committee recommends that the National Smart Ticketing Advisory Board (Gender Representation on Public Boards) (Scotland) Regulations 2023 [draft] be approved.

The motion was agreed to.

The Committee agreed to delegate to the Convener responsibility for finalising a draft report for publication.

4. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered the following negative instrument— National Smart Ticketing Advisory Board (Scotland) Regulations 2023 (SSI 2023/080)

The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the instrument.

5. A modern and sustainable ferry service for Scotland (in private):

The Committee considered a draft report.

Various changes were agreed to, and the Committee agreed to consider a revised draft at a future meeting.
