The Committee agreed to take items 4 and 5 in private.

2. Scottish Water's Annual Report & Accounts 2021/22:

The Committee took evidence from—

Johanna Dow, Chief Executive, Business Stream;

Peter Farrer, Chief Operating Officer, Douglas Millican, Chief Executive and Dame Susan Rice DBE, Chair, Scottish Water;

Alan Sutherland, Chief Executive, Water Industry Commission for Scotland.

Edward Mountain indicated that he is a customer of Business Stream.

3. Subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered the following negative instrument—

Electricity (Applications for Consent and Variation of Consent) (Fees) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2022 (SSI 2022/310)

The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the instrument.

The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government on what impact raising consent fees would have on the application process.

4. Scottish Water's Annual Report & Accounts 2021/22 (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.

5. The role of local government and its cross-sectoral partners in financing and delivering a net-zero Scotland (in private):

The Committee considered its approach to its report.
