1. Declaration of interests:
Colin Beattie MSP was invited to declare any relevant interests and declared that he is a registered landlord of a private rental property.
2. Decision on taking business in private:
The Committee agreed to take items 4 and 5 in private.
3. Building Safety and Maintenance and Housing to 2040:
The Committee took evidence from—
Paul McLennan, Minister for Housing, Joe Brown, Deputy Director of More Homes and Laura Dougan, Unit Head of Housing Strategy and Delivery, Better Homes Division, Scottish Government.
4. Building Safety and Maintenance and Housing to 2040:
The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier in the meeting.
5. Housing (Scotland) Bill:
The Committee agreed its approach to the scrutiny of the Bill at Stage 1 and agreed to issue a call for views.
6. Community Wealth Building (in private):
The Committee considered the evidence heard at its last meeting and agreed to write to the Minister for Community Wealth and Public Finance.
