1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take item 3 in private.

2. Damp and Mould in Social and Private Rented Housing:

The Committee took evidence from—

Rosemary Agnew, Ombudsman, Scottish Public Services Ombudsman;

Callum Chomczuk, National Director, Chartered Institute of Housing Scotland;

Nicola Harcus, Assistant Director of Regulation and Helen Shaw,Director of Regulation, Scottish Housing Regulator;

and then from—

Paul McLennan, Minister for Housing, Darren Knox, Fuel Poverty & House Condition Analysis Team and Naeem Bhatti, Head of Fuel Poverty and Housing Standards Unit, Scottish Government.

 

Ivan McKee MSP referred to his register of interests entry as the owner of private rental properties.
