The Committee agreed to take item 4 in private.

The Committee took evidence on the Town and Country Planning (Short-term Let Control Areas) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2022 and the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 (Licensing of Short-term Lets) Order 2021 from—

David Weston, Chair, Scottish Bed and Breakfast Association (SBBA) ;

Fiona Campbell, Chief Executive, Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers ;

Shomik Panda, Director General, UK Short Term Accommodation Association;

Paul McLennan declared an interest as a councillor in East Lothian Council.

Elena Whitham declared an interest as a councillor in East Ayrshire Council.

Meghan Gallacher declared an interest as a councillor in North Lanarkshire Council.
