2. National Care Service (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee took evidence on the Bill from—

Maree Todd, Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport, John Paul Liddle, Deputy Director for National Care Service Development and Delivery, Donna Bell, Director of Social Care and National Care Service Development and Lucy McMichael, Senior Lawyer, Scottish Government.

Dr Sandesh Gulhane declared an interest as a practising NHS GP.

The Committee considered the following negative instruments—

Official Controls (Import of High Risk Food and Feed of Non-Animal Origin) Amendment (Scotland) (No. 2) Regulations 2024

Food Safety (Sampling and Qualifications) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2024

Feed Additives (Authorisations) and Uses of Feed Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes (Miscellaneous Amendment) (Scotland) Regulations 2024

The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the negative instruments.
