Sandesh Gulhane declared an interest as a practising NHS GP and as chair of the Medical Advisory Group set up to advise and inform the Member in Charge of the Bill in advance of its introduction.
Emma Harper declared an interest as a former NHS Scotland and NHS England employee and as a registered nurse.

The Committee agreed to incorporate further engagement with adults living with a terminal illness into its work programme as part of its Stage 1 scrutiny of the Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults (Scotland) Bill in a manner appropriate to those individuals’ circumstances. The Committee also agreed to delegate to the Convener responsibility for responding to recent stakeholder correspondence on this subject.
The Committee agreed to a request from a witness not to be filmed when giving oral evidence at a future meeting.
